Each user has access to their own user profile to update personal information (except for their username) and reset their password.
If you are not an administrator, you can only update your own profile, which includes personal information and changing your password. Make sure to read the terms and conditions then check the box if you agree.
If you are an administrator, you can update other user profiles.
You can edit a user by performing one or more of the following:
Update the user information, such as name, phone and email. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
Enter a new password for the user. Enter it again to make sure there are no typos. Optionally, click Generate Password to have the system automatically generate a temporary password.
Update the user type. Click here for a description of the user types.
In Select User Status, choose one or more of the following:
Inactive. If creating new users, this box is unchecked (active) by default. Keep the box checked if intending to activate the user at a later date.
Remove. Only use this to completely remove the user from Passkey.
Allow Self-Password Reset. Check this box to allow the user to access his or her own profile and change the password.
Show Credit Card Numbers. Check this box if you wish to have the user view credit card numbers.
Use Last Name, First Name, Format for Call Center Reservations.
Administrator. Administrators have the ability to manage and maintain all users that are associated within their organization or hotel. The Administrator has the ability to set temporary passwords, create new users, change security levels and disable a user’s access.
API User. Check this box for users who need access to RegLink. Generally, check this box for call center users.
In the Participant section, select the user's hotel or organization.
If the user's hotel or organization is enabled for timezones, you can adjust the following:
Preferred Timezone. The timezone in which the user lives.
Date Format. The user's preferred date format preference for the input and display of dates.
Time Format. The user's preferred time format for the input and display of times.
IMPORTANT: Any dates and times related to the event (e.g. Event Open, Event Close) will use the event timezone. Timestamps (e.g. Last modified by date) will be in the user's preferred timezone.
Select the Locale that the user prefers. This setting will affect the communications and user interface language for pages outside of the Passkey application (e.g. the planner dashboard).
When done, check the terms and conditions box if you agree and click Save to update the profile.
