To view the details on the GML message, click the Show Advanced Message Fields link at the bottom of the page. To view the message in XML, click View XML in the upper right corner.

Creating a Passkey Event

Select this option to create a Passkey event. Its status will be set to Processed-Accepted.

  1. Click the down arrow next to the Create New Event option.

  2. In the Open Date and Close Date fields, enter the general reservation open and close dates and times manually or use the calendar icon.  By default, the time is set to midnight (00:00) for both dates, which you can change by clicking on the drop-down list.

  3. In Reservation Method, check one or both of the booking methods that apply to this group.

  4. Determine how to create this event:

NOTE: All room types from the bundle will be included when the event is created, not just the room types in the GML message.

  5. Optionally, check the Create a default General Block box to allow several event tasks to be built in Passkey from the information sent by the PMS system, including the following. If not checked, the PMS will pass only Event Details and Room Type information.

  1. Enter the default cancellation policy.

TIP: A default cancellation policy can also be set up in the hotel's DEFAULT page, which is accessible by clicking the Manage tab > Hotel Setup then choosing a hotel and selecting Defaults from the menu.

  1. Click the Create Event button to start the create event wizard where you can fill in additional details about the event, or click the Create but Skip the Wizard button to create the event without using the wizard. Event information can be entered or updated later.

Associating a Message to an Event

Select this option to associate the meeting in this message to an event already built in Passkey. Selecting this option also allows you to create a Passkey event. Its status will be set to Processed-Accepted.

  1. Click the down arrow next to the Associate to Event option.

  2. In the Show drop-down, choose a category to filter the events then click the Filter button.

  3. Click on the event name to highlight it.

  4. Click the Associate button.

If the selected event is already associated to an event in Passkey that was created with GML, the system generates a warning indicating that the meeting in Passkey is associated to a different event in the PMS.  In this case, perform one of the following:

Rejecting a Message

Select this option to not send any information from the PMS to Passkey. The message status will be set to Processed-Rejected.
