You can use this page to view and manage the inventory settings found on Event: Home quickly and easily. It allows you to make these changes across hotels and sub-blocks in a more efficient way if you need to adjust multiple settings.
This feature lets CityWide customers and Hotels change the sub-block level Sell Status settings quickly and easily in one screen. Settings can be changed individually or across sub-blocks.
The page shows sub-blocks in a hotel, much like event inventory, along with their sell status settings.
By default, these are arranged by attendee type and then rooms within the hotel.
To change the hotel you are viewing, select the hotel in the list.
To view settings grouped by room type, select the Room Type radio button
In either case, the main columns shown include the Sell To, Call Center, and Web statuses.
Each status such as Sell To, sell to Call Center, and sell to Web can be controlled independently of the other, as is true on the sub-blocks in event inventory.
For more information on what these settings refer to, see the section of help for Event Home on managing sub-blocks. Note that any changes you make here are reflected on the sub-blocks as well.
To adjust the "Sell To" setting for all of the listed sub-blocks in the hotel (whether they are currently collapsed or expanded):
The yellow highlight disappears after you Save. At this point, you can leave the page, or select a different hotel to work on (for a CityWide event).
Follow the same steps as noted above, choosing to apply either Open or Close to the sub-blocks.
To make changes for only some of the sub-blocks, expand the desired attendee or room and then:
This feature lets CityWide customers and Hotels schedule a date on which inventory should be released from the sub-block to free-sell, and to monitor the status of that scheduled work.
For example, this might be useful if you have a promised sub-block with an early deadline (e.g. an exhibitor block), which should be released to free-sell on a particular date, to make the inventory available for sale to other sub-blocks.
The release logic is that:
When auto-allocate to free-sell is used, the sub-block current block is reduced to zero, which increases the Free-Sell Available by the same amount. Overall inventory remains constant.
When free-sell is manually managed, the sub-block current block is reduced to zero, and this inventory is added to the Free-Sell Rooms. Again, overall inventory remains constant.
The release repeats every hour (on the hour) from the specified release date to the last inventory date in the event. This is useful if cancellations occur, which returns inventory to the sub-block.
IMPORTANT: All sub-block nights will be processed, whether or not Free Sell Enabled is ON or OFF. However, this setting will remain the same after the release occurs.
NOTE: Hotels participating in CityWide events will only be able to make changes after the cutoff date.
The page shows sub-blocks in a hotel, much like event inventory, along with their release dates and status.
By default, these are arranged by attendee type and then rooms within the hotel.
To change the hotel you are viewing, select the hotel in the list.

In either case, the main columns shown include the Release Date, Action, and Status.
To adjust the release date for all of the listed sub-blocks in the hotel (whether they are currently collapsed or expanded):
The sub-blocks now show the actual date on which inventory will be released, they are turned ON, and show as Scheduled. At this point, you can leave the page, or select a different hotel to work on (for a CityWide event).
For the Custom Date option, the release will happen at the start of that day in the event timezone. For example, the release will happen at 12 am, 1 am, 2 am, etc.
For the At Cutoff option, the release will happen on the day and hour you selected for cutoff during event creation (which defaulted to the end of day), in the event timezone. For example, if cutoff was set to 5 pm, then the release would happen at 5 pm, 6 pm, 7 pm, etc.
The hourly cadence also means that any inventory that exists at the sub-block (e.g. due to a cancellation), will be available for a maximum of 1 hour, before it is released. If the Cutoff Date is changed, the same hour of day will be retained.
To set up a release date for only some of the sub-blocks, expand the attendee or room and then:
The sub-blocks show the actual date on which inventory will be released, are turned ON, and show as Scheduled. At this point, you can leave the page, or select a different hotel to work on (for a CityWide event).
Whether the task has run for a sub-block (showing Released status) or not (showing Scheduled status), you can turn it OFF at any time to stop further processing of the sub-block.
For individual sub-blocks select the OFF switch and then select Save.
To turn OFF all of the sub-block processing and remove the release dates:
In order to review the progress of the release dates for an event, simply view the Status column for all sub-blocks, and look for Released labels.
If there are multiple hotels, select the hotel(s) and then review the Status.
IMPORTANT: The sub-block will show as Scheduled until after the Release Date and will be Released only when inventory changes are actually made.
To see the details of the changes that were made for each sub-block, see the Event Home audit log, which will show each inventory change under "Scheduler - Release to Free Sell".
Note that one line will show the attendee type current block adjustment (for each inventory date), and another line will show the resulting change in free sell available.
