IMPORTANT: If reservations have been booked for the event, they must be manually cancelled prior to cancelling the event, as no communications (including acknowledgements) will be sent to attendees for cancelled events.
To cancel an event:
Open the event.
In the Event menu, select Details.
In the Details submenu, select Details.
In the Details page, select the Cancel Event link at the bottom of the page.
If you have already cancelled an event and still need to send communications (e.g. cancel acknowledgements):
Open the event.
In the Communications menu, select Group Campaigns & Acknowledgements.
Turn ON the Cancel acknowledgements (optionally updating wording as needed).
These steps will ensure that any further reservation cancellations will allow sending a cancellation acknowledgement to attendees.
