When viewing a Booking-Update message, the system displays differences between the booking in the PMS and the event in Passkey. This is known as the Difference Report. Differences are highlighted on the screen.
Use this page to perform these actions:
Done. Selecting this option indicates action has been taken on this message. No changes are made to the event in Passkey. Instead, you need to manually make any adjustments in Passkey based on the information contained in the Difference Report. The message status will be set to Processed-Accepted.
Save Final Pickup. Selecting this option saves final pickup numbers to designated fields in Passkey. Its status will be set to Processed-Accepted.
Reject Message. Selecting this option will not send any information from the PMS to Passkey. Its status will be set to Processed-Rejected.
NOTE: Because Passkey and the PMS store data differently, the Difference Report may show a difference that cannot be applied in Passkey. For example, the PMS may store occupancy charges (known as additional guest charges in Passkey) on a night-by-night basis, whereas in Passkey, additional guest charges are not stored on a night-by-night basis but on a Room Type level. Therefore, if the PMS changes the occupancy charges nightly, a difference will show, but you cannot change an individual night’s additional guest charges in Passkey.
