Use this page to display and manage the guarantee types for this event. You can have customized guaranteed types for each Attendee Type in an event. Options for each Attendee Type include payments by credit card, other payments (such as checks), or Guest Guarantee Not Required (such as direct bill or guarantee to master). All guarantee types can be offered on the Attendee Website and on the Call Center reservations form.
You can perform the following:
Determine which credit cards are accepted. Click the Manage button to add or remove credit card types.
Determine which merchant plan is accepted, if any. Click the Select Merchant Account button to add or change the plan. This feature only applies if your hotel or organization is configured for Merchant Accounts.
As a best practice, when selecting a Merchant Account, change What Will Be Shown On The Card Statement description to include or reference the event name.
If there is more than one guarantee type, choose which one is the default. Attendee Types created after this change automatically have this guarantee type.
Add or edit guarantee types. To
edit a guarantee type, click the edit icon ()
or click the guarantee type name. To create a new guarantee type,
click the Add Guarantee Type
button or click the copy icon (
) to
copy an existing one.
TIPS:
Guarantee types are assigned to Attendee Types as listed in the Assigned To column. To change the Attendee Types, click the Attendee Types submenu.
There may be multiple cancellation fee policies with one guarantee type, if different policies take effect at different dates.
