Passkey Introduction

The navigation pane to the left organizes the help system into various topics. Click on a book to display its topics. Select the topic you need to get started on your task.

As you use the system to manage events and hotel information, you will need to select, edit, or change information. Many of the settings you enter will affect other areas of the system, where some settings can be changed later on. If you are unsure of the effect changing a setting will cause, click the Help link on that page. The help topic provides a description of the areas in the page, and will let you know how the information you enter impacts the other areas of the system.

New to Passkey?

The Passkey Home Screen organizes events and related information to give you a quick status. It also is the place where you begin the process of creating an event. Click here to see that help topic.

In addition to the help topics, many of the fields and buttons have tips. Simply leave (hover) the mouse's cursor over a field or button for a moment to display the tip text.

The Customer Care Center topic in the navigation pane to the left will take you to our Customer Care Center, which has a list of short video tutorials, webinars, FAQs, etc. It also contains the Customer Care contact information. This page is also available by clicking the Learn More link, which is at the top of every Passkey page. Also, view the Learning Center pane on the home page for shortcuts to specific tutorials.

If unsure how to start, we recommend that you review our tutorials. Each tutorial is very brief (1 to 3 minutes) and can help you get started using your Passkey account. Otherwise, you can simply get started by reviewing the step-by-step procedures listed in the navigation pane to the left. The most common procedure is creating or opening an existing event, which is under the Events book.

IMPORTANT: Be careful not to open Passkey in two separate browser windows; otherwise, you run the risk of data entered in one open window overwriting data in the other. The information that is over-written will be lost.

Why can't I access a specific feature?

Be aware that some system features are specific to one type of user only. Therefore, you may see descriptions in the help of fields that are not available to someone in your role. For example, Passkey accommodates users who are responsible for a single hotel, or a group of sister hotels, where an event usually applies to only one hotel. Passkey also accommodates event users who are responsible for an event where a number of different hotels may be engaged.
